I, too, will be checking back to see how the trial goes, and what other fabulous initiatives you are rolling out for your school. I thought it was interesting that one of your students was distracted by the games on the iPad. It is a question I will put to our students. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences with Wheelers.Michelle Simmshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17359863557463747907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8419810846288822927.post-20650759513803981982012-02-20T20:43:04.805+13:002012-02-20T20:43:04.805+13:00Debbie, I think bringing your own device is the wa...Debbie, I think bringing your own device is the way of the future. You can see the students' responses to the trial here: http://goo.gl/ynwu7<br />This year, we are about to implement eBooks using Wheeler's ePlatform for lending, and will also encourage students to belong to our city library and access their eBook collection (which is via a consortium using Overdrive). Will share more as we move forward with the project!Miriamhttp://rsslibrary.edublogs.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8419810846288822927.post-45949337852391023192012-02-20T09:15:12.938+13:002012-02-20T09:15:12.938+13:00Wonderful first blog posting! It was a bit of a disaster - so we've turned the emphasis to student's bringing in their own devices. Let's face it, you can read an e-book on virtually anything these days :-)D.Price-Ewenhttp://freyberglibrary.weebly.com/index.htmlnoreply@blogger.com
